This is a slow moving, in-depth explanatory class that provides the basics of a vinyasa practice; vinyasa is a method of practicing asanas (physical poses). This class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work with a step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. You will experience full range of motion through the whole body with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
Restorative yoga is a great way to relax and soothe frayed nerves. Props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to assist students into passive poses so the body can experience the benefits of the pose without having to exert any effort.
Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissues like your ligaments, fascia, joints and bones. It is slower and more meditative giving you the space to turn inward and connecting with your mind experiencing the physical sensations of your body. Poses in yin are held between three to five minutes which helps you to strengthen and lengthen rarely used tissues, while teaching you to breath through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
